Songs Where Wale Gets Killed By His Own Feature: Big Sean Edition

Another Wale post. Like I said before, Wale is awesome. He's clearly talented. He acts like a little child on Twitter, but he's still a hell of a lyricist. With that being said...he still gets his ass kicked by his features.

Slight Work

I really can't vouch for Wale on this one at all. Big Sean came on his track and made it his own. Like I don't even listen to this song for Wale's verse. As soon as I heard Sean say "the only thing between me and ya bitch is a latex" I already knew he won. Big Sean (who has been often criticized for being wack) came on this track with a purpose. He damn sure didn't wanna lose on a song to the Brooklyn Brawler of hip-hop. Wale you gotta step it up kid. Catch you guys later and remember no matter what you're doing just ask yourself "What Would Wale Do?" and then do MUCH better than that.

Shit I Don't Like #1

I consider myself a fairly positive person. I like just about everybody. I give most things a fair chance. Then there's shit I constantly see that just make me mad. That's that shit I don't like *Chief Keef voice*

Osiris Sneakers
I work with a lot of kids at my job. I seen a lot of kids come in with the freshest clothes, newest Jordans, Hollister hoodies. All kinds of expensive name brand shit. Then I see some loser ass kid come in wearing Osiris sneakers. These have to be the ugliest sneakers I've ever seen. Why anyone would think these are dope is beyond me. You gotta have 0 self respect to ever slip your feet inside a pair of Osiris sneakers. The shoeless and poor little kids out in Kazakhstan who make these shoes wouldn't wear those shits. Disgusting.

Mike G's verse on "Oldie"
Ohh...Mike G I hate you. You ruined "Oldie" from being possibly one of the greatest hip-hop songs to come out this year. For those who've never heard Oldie, it's a song from the collective group Odd Future. This is only the second song where every musical member of the seemingly never ending Odd Future crew is featured on it. Everything is going great until about 3:00 into the ten minute song. As soon as you hear "What the fuck is caution?" it just goes downhill. Mike G awkwardly raps all over this beat with no kind of swag whatsoever. Not to mention it's second longest verse in the song. It just drags along.

Mike G managed to have Left Brain, Frank Ocean & Jasper out rap him on this song. Left Brain is a producer. Frank Ocean is a singer. And Jasper doesn't do anything at all. You know what...FUCK YOU MIKE G.

Then...the asshole decides that that wasn't enough. The fans needed more. Mr. G decides that we need 5 MORE minutes of him rapping terribly over Oldie. Or should I say "Oldie 2". He gives niggas with dreads a bad rep man.

ThrowBack Thursday on Instagram

I think this one is obvious. I'm not the only one who's complained about this. Ever since I was able to get Instagram on my android I thought it was a clear skies from here on out...then on the first Thursday I realized the grass isn't always greener on the other side. Now there's nothing wrong with maybe one old pic of you. That's fine. These chicks out here acting up posting 20 pics from them like 2 years ago. Nigga I give no fucks about your pic from 2 years ago! Zero!

I use instagram to do polite stalker shit, hiding my thirst for women I'll never meet with like of them. It's bikini season. I'm not trying to like pics of you when you were 3 months dog. It's gotten to the point where I don't even touch the instagram icon on my phone on Thursdays man. End Throwback Thursday now!

I'm out man. This blog post stressing me out.

"9-24-11" - Action Bronson

My current favorite track. That sample too crazy man. Bronson slowly becoming one of my favorite new dudes.

"9-24-11" - Action Bronson

Internet Classics - The Most Homoerotic Photo in Hip-Hop

Man this pic never fails to make me laugh. Let's point out the struggles here...
  • They both are shirtless at a 106 & Park event for no apparent reason. Knowing damn well they're 180 pounds combined.
  • My nigga Soulja Boy's pants basically off dog.
  • My nigga Bow Wow just got a big ass head
  • The fuck these niggas pointing at?
  • My nigga Soulja Boy's pants ain't even buttoned dog.
I just don't understand how this pic even happened yo. Was one of them like "ok we gonna take our shirts off and then you point that way. I'ma point this way". Like how does this happen?

Bonus pic:

"The Wilhelm Scream (Live)" - James Blake

I loved the original studio recording of this, but the live version is just crazy. I suggest everyone check out James Blake if you haven't. Good music. Check the album out on iTunes bruh.

Real Life Heel Turns: Manny Pacquiao

Remember growing up as a kid and seeing Shawn Michaels throw Marty Jannetty through the barbershop window? Remember when Hulk Hogan went to the dark side and teamed up with the Outsiders to form the NWO? Remember when Rico killed Mitch? When you thought the good guy was a stand up dude, only to find out that he was a bad guy all along. Well that's called a "heel turn" in professional wrestling. The other day we witnessed a real life version of a heel turn.

As most of you know, recently President Obama said that he supported the movement for the rights of homosexuals to get married. Very risky move for the president in my opinion. For the most part a lot of famous people agreed with Obama and happy he said it, superstars such as Lady Gaga and Jay-Z have all agreed with Mr. Obama's stance. However, professional boxer aka Filipino Jesus himself Manny Pacquiao had a completely different stance. After first quoting verses from the Book of Leviticus, he then said this gem of a statement:

"If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads."

Now I realize that the man is a firm believer of the Christian faith. There's nothing wrong with that at all. Good for him. But my nigga...this is up there in one of the stupidest things I've ever heard a celebrity say. You went to one of the most loved boxers in the world to go out a say this just doesn't make any sense to me. I wouldn't be shocked if he lost all his American endorsement deals that he had. And you guarantee you lost any gay boxing fans you had at all.

Now if that fight with Mayweather ever happens (which I doubt), Manny might just get booed out the MGM. And I wouldn't blame the crowd at all. It's one thing to say you don't agree, that's your opinion that's fine. But put to death my nigga? That's a little extreme. But I guess if you're gonna go heel, you gotta go all out. This was the verbal version of Shawn Michaels throwing Jannetty out of the window. Manny threw his fan support right out the window.

My Favorite Battles: Sahytyre vs. Real Deal

Anybody knows me knows I love two things, professional wrestling & hip-hop. To me rap battles is a combination of both. Full of characters who fake hate each other (for the most part) and battle it out in front of a live crowd. Lately I feel the battle scene has been pretty wack. So what I did was re-visit some of my favorite battles of ALL TIME.

This one is from a few years back. Sahtyre doesn't battle much anymore which is sad cause he was one of my favorites. Real Deal is one of the best in the world imo, the fact that he's just now getting a battle on SMACK baffles me.

Songs Where Wale Got Killed By His Feature: J. Cole Edition

Wale is one of my favorite rappers ever. I'm not the biggest fan of his attitude, but his music is undeniable. The man is talented. HOWEVER...whenever he has another hip-hop artist on his track he gets killed. Every. Single. Time.

Might as well start with the closest slaughtering I've heard since "Renegade" and give you J. Cole manhandling Wale on his own shit.

"Beautiful Bliss"

Wale let a nigga just completely outshine him. This shouldn't even be Wale's song anymore. Bad enough you let a light skinned nigga win. We can't let them win. Makes me sick. Now to be fair, this is the greatest verse I've ever heard J. Cole aka "The Audio Snooze Button" do in my life. But still....Mr. Folarin this is unacceptable.
